Heavy Weapons specialists are expected to know multiple weapon systems that act as a force multiplier in the field. These systems include heavy machineguns, LMGS, Anti Air rocket systems, and Anti Armor rocket systems. Heavy Weapons specialists will also need to understand FCS (Fire Control Systems) for various weapons as they vary from mod to mod. They will need to understand weapon overheating, backblast, ammo allotments, positioning, suppression of hostiles, AT and AA round differences, etc.
Familiarization: (This is not a complete list but a summary of things that will need to be known)
ACE3 barrel and weapon overheating and equipment, various mod and vanilla based heavy weapon systems and their abilities and limitations. FCS on AA and AT launchers including fire and forget systems.
Skills to be Mastered:
Barrel replacement, target designation through FCS via thermal or tv modes. Knowledge of AA or AT rounds to effectively neutralize targets on the first hit. Suppression of hostiles via cones of fire with LMGs and HMGs. Custom loadouts centered around heavy ammo and launcher round counts. Working with fireteam leader on how best to employ a heavy weapon during combat.
